Deliver quality palliative
care effectively and efficiently
for improved patient quality of life.
Opportunity
Palliative care organisations are increasingly seeking
patient information management systems for enhanced quality in
the delivery of care for their patients and improved efficiencies
in the management of their organisations.
|
 |
Palliative care organisations have specific needs with respect to patient
information management systems:
- The ability to incorporate and access real-time information
- The ability to access a system from multiple locations
- To enable information to be shared across multiple competencies within
an organisation e.g. specialists, nurses
- To allow information to be shared with other care providing organisations
e.g. hospital, district nurses
eClinic Pty Ltd, also realised that palliative care organisations mostly
did not have nor need sophisticated IT infrastructure for managing mission
critical patient information management systems.
In response to these challenges, eClinic developed PalCare - a fully
managed patient information management system whereby the applications
and database reside on servers hosted in a professionally managed data
centre with access via a secure web browser.
PalCare – The System
& Service
PalCare transcends current electronic patient information
management solutions for the delivery of palliative care and support
services at the point of care.
PalCare, developed by eClinic Pty Ltd, is a secure fully
managed patient information management system and service that integrates
acute and community care information into a single view of the patient,
enabling health and support care providers to optimise the quality
of care for their patient at the time and point of care. Whether
the care provider is at the home of the patient, treating the patient
at inpatient facilities or on-call, real-time information regarding
the patient can be remotely accessed via a secure web browser and
updated conveniently and efficiently.
